I've been interested in the longevity field for more than a decade but only recently I've came back to the community. I'll update this list as I discover more in my journey with longevity.


If you're interested in understanding how to approach longevity from this practical perspective I highly encourage you to start with these books:

  • Longevity Simplified → Dr. Howard J. Luks, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine, who writes straightforward, actionable longevity strategies
  • Exercised → why something we never evolved to do is healthy and rewarding

In the last years, longevity has gone from a movement to an industry and investment activity is picking up rapidly. In 2021, the $3.8bn invested into longevity was more than double the investment in 2020. And in 2022 it was even bigger.

  • Longevity Vision Fund → they want to make longevity accessible and affordable by funding life extension breakthroughs
  • Apollo Health Ventures → develops interventions with the potential to prevent or reverse age-related diseases and extend healthy human lifespan
  • 100 plus capital → invest in companies positively impacting human longevity
  • Healthspan Capital → investing in longevity biotech ("LongBio") and regenerative medicine to extend healthy human lifespan
  • Methuselah Foundation → is a biomedical charity who puts the mission first and the money second. They bet early on people and projects that, with their significant incubation and strategic services, will produce remarkable results
  • Methuselah Fund → designed to accelerate results in the longevity field, extending the healthy human lifespan. Our success is measured by financial return on investments and furthering the mission, with the mission being the priority
  • crowdfunding → promotes the advancement of medical technologies which will increase healthy human longevity
  • Forever healthy → funds cutting-edge research on molecular and cellular repair to combat the root causes of aging
  • Longevity Escape Velocity Foundation → works to proactively identify and address the most challenging obstacles on the path to the widespread availability of genuinely effective treatments to prevent and reverse human age-related disease
  • Bold Capital → invests in emerging science and technologies that will disrupt and democratize massive markets, creating innovative solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges
  • Breakout Ventures → invests in early-stage companies building bio-based solutions to dramatically improve human health and the sustainability of our planet
  • Continuum Health Ventures → early-stage venture capital fund that seeds, nurtures and accelerates the next generation of Digital Healthtech and Longevity startups that will focus on extending human healthspan
  • SENS Research Foundation → invests in the future of regenerative medicine by providing funding and support to promising biotechnology startups
  • Longevity Foundation → working to bring a new approach to medicine out of the laboratory and into the real world

I think we need different strategies and frameworks to research life extension so we can maximise our probabilities. I've been working in startups for most part of my career. Here is a list of startups (at least somehow related with longevity) that I find fascinating. This is a very personal list with no particular order.

  • Altos Labs → restore cell health and resilience through cellular rejuvenation programming to reverse disease, injury, and the disabilities
  • → develops mRNA medicines that induce the body to heal itself by instructing specific cells to fight disease or repair damaged tissue
  • Retro Biosciences  → their mission is to increase healthy human lifespan by ten years. They have an initial funding in the amount of $180 million, which will take them to our first proofs of concept, and secure operation of the company through the decade
  • Rubedo → discovers and develops medicines to keep you biologically young by targeting the pathologic cells that drive aging
  • Gordian Biotechnologies → creating the first in vivo therapeutic screening platform to radically improve drug development for complex diseases of aging
  • Juvena Therapeutics → mapping secreted proteins to unmet medical needs. Their mission mission is to unlock the therapeutic potential of secreted proteins and to engineer them into life-saving therapeutics
  • Loyal → develop drugs intended to help dogs live longer, healthier lives
  • Epirium → is a biopharmaceutical company pioneering novel therapeutics that leverage our understanding of muscle biology, tissue regeneration and mitochondrial function to develop therapies that have potential for broad clinical applicability across multiple disease areas of high unmet need
  • Ora Biomedical → develops small molecule therapeutics that extend lifespan and delay chronic illness by targeting the underlying molecular mechanisms of aging
  • Unity Biotechnology → selectively eliminate or modulate senescent cells
  • Spring Discovery → gives scientists superpowers. We put world-leading technology and easy-to-use software in the hands of researchers working to understand and battle disease
  • Osin → induce the senescent cell to commit suicide
  • Mogling Bio → develop novel pharmacological approaches to rejuvenate old stem cells
  • Valo → technology company built to transform the drug discovery and development process using human-centric data and AI-powered computation
  • Calico → research and development company focused on better understand the biology that controls aging and lifespan

  • Elevian → develops regenerative medicines that target the root-cause of aging processes. Elevian has identified blood factors that regulate aging and stimulate the body’s natural repair and regeneration mechanisms and is developing biotherapeutics targeted at these factors
  • Deep Longevity → deep learning for aging research specializing in development of biomarkers of aging
  • Decidous Therapeutics → developing novel immunotherapies to ablate senescent cells and systemically treat age related diseases
  • Zero → provides an app to improve metabolic wellbeing, mostly through fasting
  • Viome → performs strain level identification of the gut microbiome to promote better health outcomes
  • Oura → produces a ring wearable that actively monitors the physiological responses of the body and is the leading commercial sleep monitor in market today
